Barbra Streisand was honored at the Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment breakfast Wednesday where the veteran singer, actress and director added the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award to her list of accolades.

In her speech, Streisand emphasized the importance of women joining forces and working together and publicly endorsed U.S. democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
The winner of two Oscars, Streisand’s notable film works include 1968’s “Funny Girl” and 2004’s “Meet The Fockers.”
The Hollywood Report quoted Streisand as saying:
“At first [Clinton] was a bit stiff, uncomfortable. But I know her in person, and she is warm and lovely and brilliant and speaks without notes. When I first saw her speak, she was using a Teleprompter, which she doesn’t need. If you don’t know how to use it and make it real and add things in, it’s clumsy. So I think she’s now amazing. She has found her voice, which is her voice.”
Streisand called Trump “funny” and “When I listen to the things he says, I think, ‘This thing can’t be happening.’ But it is happening, so I encourage women — we’re 52 percent of the population — we have to get out and vote. We need a woman’s sensibility. We do.”
