Awful reviews didn’t stop “Suicide Squad” from hauling in a robust $135 million in its opening weekend in North American theaters.

The Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ anti-superhero film starring Margot Robbie and Will Smith scored the biggest August opening ever, according to estimated figures released today by comScore.

“Jason Bourne” was far behind in the second spot, with $22.7 million in its second weekend in release.

In third place was the comedy “Bad Moms” with $14.2 million.

“The Secret Life of Pets” was fourth with $11.5 million, with “Star Trek Beyond” earning $10.2 million in theaters in the United States and Canada.

Rounding out the top 10 were “Nine Lives” with $6.5 million, “Lights Out” with $6 million, “Nerve” with $4.9 million, “Ghostbusters” with $4.8 million and “Ice Age: Collision Course” with $4.3 million.
