Lakers legend Jerry West, 79, is headed for current rival-for-fan-base Clippers following a successful run advising the NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

But on the eve of Father’s Day, West’s son is rumored ready to join Pops.

Ryan West is the Lakers’ director of player personnel, and stories are circulating that he’ll join the Clippers. Jerry will be a consultant.

“Losing [Ryan] West to the Clippers would be a big loss as he is one of the more promising young pieces of the Lakers’ front office,” said Corey Hansford at LakersNation.com. “He has been part of the Lakers scouting process that helped the team find gems like Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. Late in the draft and looked to be taking on a larger role in this new regime.”
