Steven Mnuchin was executive producer of “Entourage” and other movies. Now the successor to Alexander Hamilton as U.S. Treasury secretary might consider a hip-hop vehicle titled “Honeymoon.”
No, he didn’t fly to his European honeymoon on a government plane. But he asked for one — at a potential cost of $500,000 — and that’s the storyline of his critics.
I didn’t use a government plane on my honeymoon, and if I had I would have paid for it myself. #FakeNews

Another flight did involve taxpayer expense, however. Mnuchin was visiting his money at Fort Knox.
Politico reports: “Mnuchin said he was in Kentucky for an event on tax overhaul. The Treasury secretary also said the claim that he traveled solely for the historic phenomenon was absurd — because as a ‘New Yorker,’ he was not interested in the eclipse at all.”
Mnuchin was quoted as saying: “You know, people in Kentucky took this stuff very serious. Being a New Yorker … I was like, the eclipse? Really? I don’t have any interest in watching the eclipse.”
The Chicago Tribune, posting on the Kentucky trip, said his actress bride, Louise Linton, “drew intense scrutiny after she posted an Instagram glamour shot of herself deplaning and tagged a host of high-end designers such as Hermes and Valentino in the photo, then called a critic who was offended at the idea of publicly funded travel ‘adorably out of touch.’”
Linton later apologized.
Mnuchin is still feeling the heat.

From Alexander Hamilton to Mnuchin in 228 years really makes one ponder the scientific efficacy of evolution. This grifter should resign
