The Recording Academy announced Tuesday a bevy of celebrities will join Elton John next month for a televised tribute to the British entertainer.
“Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A Grammy Salute,” will be broadcast Tuesday, April 10, on CBS, the academy said in a statement.
The concert will showcase musicians from multiple genres performing classic songs from Elton John’s music catalog with longtime co-writer Bernie Taupin. It will feature special appearances by Jon Batiste, Neil Patrick Harris, Christopher Jackson, Anna Kendrick, Gayle King, Lucy Liu, Valerie Simpson, and Hailee Steinfeld, according to the statement.
Scheduled to perform at the concert to “celebrate the illustrious career of Elton John” are Alessia Cara, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Little Big Town, Chris Martin, Shawn Mendes, Maren Morris, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and SZA, according to the academy, which said Elton John would also take the stage to perform a medley of hits.
