“The Croods: A New Age” pulled off a rare feat by topping the North American box office in its 12th week of release, grossing $2.66 million over the holiday weekend, according to updated industry estimates released Monday.

Second place went to “Judas and the Black Messiah,” which opened to $2.485 million Friday through Monday at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported.

The film about the killing of Black Panthers leader Fred Hampton is also available on the HBO Max streaming service.

“The Little Things” — which is also available on HBO Max — grossed $2.475 million, followed by “The Marksman” with $1.325 million and “Wonder Woman 1984” — another film streaming on HBO Max — with $1.3 million.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Land” ($1.07 million), “Monster Hunter” ($750,000), “News of the World” ($443,000), “The War With Grandpa” ($215,578) and “Promising Young Woman” ($210,000).

Indoor movie theaters in Southern California are closed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, leaving only limited outdoor screenings.
