A blaze damaged a one-story house Thursday in the Winnetka area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported in the 7900 block of North Limerick Avenue about 10:40 a.m. and was extinguished in 20 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters rescued the sole occupant of the residence, who was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but did not require further medical treatment.
About an hour after the fire was extinguished, a firefighter suffered a minor injury during the overhaul process and was treated by paramedics at the scene, the LAFD reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
