A one-acre brush fire broke out in Elysian Park Wednesday evening but didn’t threaten any structures.

The blaze was reported about 6:45 p.m. near the 500 block of North Buena Vista Drive, near the Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Fifty-nine firefighters, with assistance from at least one helicopter, extinguished the flames in about 30 minutes, and no injuries were reported, Prange said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
