A 65-year-old pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Valley Glen was publicly identified Saturday.
Mamikon Gambaryan was a Valley Glen resident, according to coroner’s Lt. David Smith.
The crash occurred about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 6200 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue between Oxnard Street and Victory Boulevard, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Gambaryan was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team was called to provide support to bystanders at the scene who were close to the person, Humphrey said.
