Authorities were searching the ocean near Rancho Palos Verdes Tuesday after a distress call was received about a boat hitting some rocks.
The search was initiated in the late morning, and included personnel from the the U.S. Coast Guard, Baywatch Cabrillo and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to the Coast Guard.
No sign of a vessel had been found as of about 1 p.m., the Coast Guard reported.
