An armed man who barricaded himself in a house in Lancaster Thursday was taken into custody after setting the residence on fire.
Deputies went to the 44600 block of Fourth Street East about 9:40 a.m., and summoned a Special Weapons Team to the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Crisis negotiators worked to contact the man, who was wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and he was then taken into custody, authorities said early Thursday afternoon. His name was not immediately available.
