Low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines introduced service Wednesday between Hollywood Burbank Airport and Northern Colorado Regional Airport.
“Residents within the Northern Colorado region have expressed a solid desire for more convenient and cost-effective air travel options,” Northern Colorado Airport Director Jason Licon said in a statement. “Avelo has committed to partner with smaller more convenient airports like ours, offering affordable flights to popular destinations such as the Los Angeles area.”
The airport is considered an alternative to Denver International Airport, located about an hour north of downtown Denver.
Fares between the two airports begin at $39.
The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing Burbank at 7:10 a.m. and arriving at 10:35 a.m. The returning flight departs Northern Colorado at 11:15 a.m., arriving at Burbank at 12:40 p.m.
