The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the 14th consecutive day, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.721, one day after rising 1.3 cents.
The average price has risen 18.2 cents over the past 14 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The streak of rising prices began one day after the end of an 20-day streak of decreases totaling 21.8 cents that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since Jan. 24, 2023.
The average price is 6.4 cents more than one week ago and one year ago and three-tenths of a cent higher than one month ago. It has dropped $1.773 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose for the 13th time in 14 days, increasing 1.2 cents to $4.678. It has risen 24.8 cents over the past 14 days, including 2.5 cents Wednesday. The Orange County average price rose nine consecutive days, was unchanged Sunday and resumed increasing Monday.
The Orange County average price is 6.4 cents more than one week ago, 5.4 cents higher than one month ago and 5.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.781 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose a half-cent to $3.153, one day after a run of three decreases in four days totaling nine-tenths of a cent ended with an increase of three-tenths of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 7.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 29.2 cents less than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.863 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
