A person was killed Sunday morning when a pickup truck rear-ended a big rig and caught fire on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 4:15 a.m. Sunday on the westbound freeway near the Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A representative from the Los Angeles Office of Medical Examiner was called to the location at 4:34 a.m.
A Sigalert issued at 4:31 a.m. closing the transition road from the westbound 210 Freeway to the Ventura (134) Freeway was canceled at 9:46 a.m.
