The San Diego (405) Freeway will be reduced to three lanes through the Sepulveda Pass later this month, Caltrans warned Tuesday.
The lane reduction will take place Aug. 21-24 and will include the closure of the Ventura (101) Freeway connectors to the southbound 405.
Lane reductions will start at 10 p.m. on Aug. 21 and will last until 5 a.m. on Aug. 24.
According to Caltrans, the southbound 405 will be reduced to three lanes between Ventura Boulevard and Mulholland Drive. Additionally, the Ventura Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405 will be closed, as will the Valley Vista Boulevard/Sepulveda Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405, the northbound 405 off-ramp to Getty Center Drive, the northbound 101 connector to the southbound 405 and the southbound 101 Freeway connector to the southbound 405.
“Residents and businesses located near construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities,” Caltrans advised.
The work is part of the $143.7 million I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood.
