Orange County health officials said Friday there are 16 confirmed cases of measles in the county, with 10 of them linked to the outbreak traced to Disneyland or Disney’s California Adventure.

The origin of the six most recent cases is unknown, with health officials saying none of the patients was exposed at Disney and none had any known contact with any of the confirmed Disney-related cases.

According to the Orange County Health Care Agency said the emergence of six cases of unknown origin indicates the disease is widespread throughout the county, and more cases are likely to arise.

Health officials urged people to get vaccinated.
