A 44-year-old man from San Francisco arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded gun at Disneyland is due in court in Anaheim on Aug. 27.
Percival Aguilar Agoncillo was arrested after being reported to staff at the park as a suspicious subject with a firearm around 9 p.m. on July 9, Anaheim Police Department Lt. Eric Trapp said.
A post-arrest background check found that Agoncillo was on probation in San Mateo County for carrying a loaded gun, Trapp said.
Agoncillo was arrested on the walkway between Disneyland and California Adventure, and was later released on bail of $20,000, Trapp said.
Trapp praised the alertness of bystanders who brought the matter to the attention of security staff.
“The ‘See something, say something’ campaign worked,” Trapp said.
