Social Distortion, Santana, Wu-Tang Clan, Billy Idol and the Pixies are among the artists who will take the stage for the first wave of shows at the new House of Blues location in Anaheim, it was announced Tuesday.

Tickets go on sale Saturday for the first shows, which will also include Death Cab for Cutie, Jason Isbell, Caf Tacvba, 311, Daya, Common, Yellowcard, Ramon Ayala, Chase Rice and Korn.

Social Distortion, which formed in Fullerton in 1978, will be the first act to christen the House of Blues Anaheim in the Anaheim GardenWalk entertainment and shopping center at 400 Disney Way.

Social Distortion will headline the Feb. 28 grand opening and will also perform March 1.

“We are excited that we have been asked to open the new House of Blues Anaheim,” said lead singer Mike Ness. “We’ve performed at the House of Blues across the country many times over, but this is a special honor because it’s Orange County, our living room.”

The new House of Blues venue will kick off the company’s 25th anniversary. The first House of Blues opened in November 1992 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
