A 55-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly serving a woman a spiked alcohol drink at a area restaurant and raping her at an apartment in Seal Beach.
While supplying no time element, police said they arrested Darryl Lee Matanane of Seal Beach Sunday, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Michael Henderson.
The victim reported to police that she went to a local restaurant where Matanane allegedly served her an alcoholic drink. She later awoke in an unfamiliar apartment and was sexually assaulted, Henderson said.
“The victim does not remember how she got into the apartment,” he said. “During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Matanane as the suspect in the incident.”
