The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since Aug. 31, 2015, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.556.

The average price has risen 23 consecutive days, increasing 13.4 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5 cents more than one week ago, 13 cents higher than one month ago and 54.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 40.6 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose Wednesday to its highest amount since Aug. 29, 2015, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.515. It has risen 21 of the past 23 days, increasing 13.3 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 4.6 cents more than one week ago, 12.5 cents higher than one month ago and 51.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 39.9 cents since the start of the year.
