The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $3.227, the fifth consecutive day it changed by one-tenth of a cent or was unchanged.

The average price dropped one-tenth of a cent Saturday, was unchanged Wednesday and Friday and rose one-tenth of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than a week ago and 4.2 cents higher than one month ago but 45.2 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 38.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.204 after changing by one-tenth of a cent for three consecutive days, including dropping one-tenth of a cent on Saturday.

The Orange County average price is unchanged from one week ago, 3.3 cents higher than one month ago and 45.2 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 34.1 cents since the start of the year.
