The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County ticked up one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $4.494.
The average price is 4.4 cents more than one week ago and 13.2 cents more than one month ago, but 8.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The average price in Orange County remained the same at $4.442. It is 5.6 cents more than one week ago and 15.7 cents more than one month ago, but 2.1 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $2.017 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price remained unchanged at $3.12 after five consecutive increases. It is 5.3 cents more than one week ago, 7.5 cents more than one month ago, and 3.2 cents more than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.896 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
