The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Thursday for the third consecutive day following a 13-day streak of increases totaling 29.6 cents, remaining at $5.701.
The average price is 7.8 cents more than one week ago, 26.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.235 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has increased $1.007 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
The Orange County average price rose six-tenths of a cent to $5.655, one day after a 15-day streak of increases totaling 35 cents ended when it was unchanged. It is 9.2 cents more than one week ago, 33.9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.244 greater than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased $1.019 since the attack on Iran.
The national average price rose seven-tenths of a cent to $4.098, after dropping 2 cents over the previous four days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday. It is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 25.1 cents higher than one month ago and 95.8 cents greater than one year ago.
The national average price has increased $1.116 since the attack on Iran.
