The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped for the first time since Nov. 9 Sunday, decreasing one-tenth of a cent to $4.64 after rising 17 of the past 18 days.

The average price rose 12.6 cents over the previous 18 days, including two-tenths of a cent Saturday, to its highest amount since Oct. 13, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose 13 consecutive days, was unchanged Tuesday and resumed increasing Wednesday.

The average price is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, 15.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.529 greater than one year ago.
