The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped two-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $4.258, a day after dropping six-tenths of a cent.
The average price has dropped 16 of the past 18 days, decreasing 7.8 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 6.4 cents lower than one month ago and 30.7 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.114 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the third day in a row, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.034, a day after rising six-tenths of a cent. It is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, but 3.7 cents less than one month ago and 3.2 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.982 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
