A 39-year-old Corona man was critically injured in Riverside where he crashed his motorcycle into a fence, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Collett Avenue and Peirce Street, according to Riverside police Sgt. Emilio Angulo.
Arriving officers and firefighters found the man unresponsive, Angulo said.
The preliminary investigation revealed the man was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Collett Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into the fence, the sergeant said.
The man was taken by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, Angulo said.
The motorcyclist’s name was not released and it was not yet known if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash, he said.
Anyone with information was asked to call Traffic Det. Amanda Beeman at 951-826-8723.
