The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians will welcome nearly 400 motorcycle riders in Coachella Wednesday participating in the annual “Run for the Wall,” a cross-country ride to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
The 370 riders will make a rest stop Wednesday from 8:30 until 10 a.m. at the Shelee’s Travel Center, located at 46355 Dillon Road.
The largest cross-country motorcycle ride will honor missing-in-action, prisoner of war and killed-in action military service members, and their families in Washington, D.C., marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
