The Los Angeles Dodgers will hold their fourth annual off-season FanFest Saturday at Dodger Stadium, with appearances by past and present players and managers, front office personnel and announcers.
Dodger broadcasters Charley Steiner, Fernando Valenzuela, Pepe Yniguez and Jorge Jarrin will take part in the programming on the main stage. Vin Scully and Jaime Jarrin will also be part of the program, a team official said.
There will be photo opportunities inside the Dodger dugout and with the World Series Trophy.
FanFest will also include various family friendly activities, including interactive games.
All fans will be able to participate in what the team described as a “run the bases experience.”
FanFest participants include new manager Dave Roberts, pitching star Clayton Kershaw, outfielders Yasiel Puig and Joc Pederson, first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, relief pitcher Kenley Jensen, Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda and former Dodgers Maury Wills, Ron Cey and Shawn Green.
FanFest is free and open to the public. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with parking gates opening at 9:30 a.m.
An admission ticket is required and can be downloaded at dodgers.com/fanfest.
A very limited number of vouchers for autograph sessions and VIP experiences remain available, a team official said.
VIP experiences include meet and greets, question-and-answer sessions, batting and pitching and tours of the Dodgers clubhouse and Dodger Stadium press box. Vouchers are required to get an autograph or attend a VIP experience.
All autograph session voucher proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, the team’s official charity, which supports programs in sports and recreation, education and literacy, health and wellness benefiting children and families throughout the Los Angeles area.
The foundation’s programs are funded through private donations and various fundraising events. Team finances are not used.
The foundation will also hold its second annual Yard Sale, with jerseys, T-shirts and other items on sale. The foundation will also have a “Mystery Bag Fundraiser” where fans can purchase an official Major League Baseball ball for a $40 donation and autographed jerseys for an $80 donation.
