A very-small earthquake hit the coast west of Malibu Saturday, according to automated earthquake sensors. The magnitude 1.9 tremor reportedly hit at 6:36 a.m. about one mile offshore from Leo Carrillo State Beach, at the western end of Malibu. —Staff and wire reports
