The coronavirus pandemic has forced CBS to drop “Survivor” from its fall schedule, the network announced Tuesday.
Producers for the series are continuing to work with officials in Fiji on the appropriate time to start production, with health and safety matters the top priority for everyone involved, according to CBS.
“Survivor” premiered in 2000 and has aired Wednesdays at 8 p.m. since the 2010-11 season.
“The Amazing Race,” which had been scheduled to air at 9 p.m. Wednesdays, will replace “Survivor” in the 8 p.m. Wednesday time slot.
The military drama “SEAL Team” will air at 9 p.m. Wednesdays, one hour earlier than planned. “S.W.A.T.” will air at 10 p.m. Wednesdays. It had been scheduled to premiere later in the season.
