
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday for the 26th consecutive day, decreasing 1.9 cents to $3.789.
The average price has decreased 51.3 cents over the past 26 days, including 1.1 cents on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 75.7 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 4, 2014.

The average price is 19.8 cents less than one week ago, one-tenth of a cent lower then one month ago and 11.4 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price also dropped for the 26th consecutive day, decreasing 2.2 cents to $3.751. It has decreased 52.4 cents over the past 26 days, including 1.3 cents on Monday.
The decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 77.8 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 6, 2014.
The Orange County average price is 20.8 cents less than one week ago, eight-tenths of a cent lower then one month ago and 12.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
