A crash between two cars on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Sunday sent one of the vehicles plowing into trees on the right side of the freeway.
The crash on the eastbound side of freeway took place around 5 p.m. near the Fairfax Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident temporarily blocked the No. 1 lane of the freeway, the CHP reported. A Sigalert was issued by the CHP at 6:03 p.m.
There was no immediate word of any injuries.
