A Toyota Tacoma fatally struck a bicyclist Saturday in the Good Hope area of Riverside County.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 5:14 p.m. Saturday and occurred on state Highway 74 at Taylor Road.
A witness told the CHP the bicyclist was down on the dirt along the right-hand shoulder.
The pickup truck’s driver remained at the scene, the CHP said.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The gender and name of the bicyclist were not released.
Good Hope is an unincorporated area in Riverside County southeast of Lake Matthews and southwest of Lake Perris.
