A woman suspected of driving a stolen car led authorities on a 90-minute chase Tuesday night that ended in South Los Angeles when the vehicle suddenly stopped.
The chase ended about 7:54 p.m in the area of 84th and Main streets, said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Bishop.
The CHP took over the chase at 7:26 p.m., Bishop said. The car was stolen near Northridge, ABC7 reported.
A male passenger got out of the sedan and began running through neighborhood backyards and alleys, before being captured.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 7:58 p.m. Paramedics took at least one person to a hospital, said Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
Crowds gathered where the chase ended, prompting more than 50 Los Angeles Police Department to form skirmish lines, NBC4 reported.
