A woman was stabbed, hit over the head and robbed by a man she had invited into her Palms area apartment, police said.
Officers were sent to the 3700 block of Delmas Terrace about 11:30 a.m. on a report of a woman screaming, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was stabbed and hit over the head with unknown objects, said Officer Jenny Houser of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.
She was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately available. Witnesses told reporters at the scene that the woman, who is about 30 years old, was bleeding profusely.
Police said the woman knew her attacker, who remained at large this afternoon.
Houser did not have details about what was taken from the apartment, and did not release a description of the suspect.
