The pursuit of a reckless driving suspect ended in a crash Sunday in Compton, authorities said.
A deputy tried to pull over the suspect at 5:40 p.m. near east Alondra Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Nabeel Mitry.
A pursuit ensued, but the suspect was driving so recklessly, the deputy stopped giving chase, Mitry said.
A short time later, it was reported that the suspect had crashed at north Bullis Road and east Orchard Avenue, Mitry said.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured, he said.
The suspect, however, was taken into custody, Mitry said.
