What started out as a relaxing massage away from the difficulties of the world turned into a sexual attack on a client at her Santa Clarita home, prosecutors argued in court Tuesday.
Daniel Holbert, 48, of Burbank, is charged with one felony count of sexual penetration by a foreign object by fraudulent representation. Holbert is scheduled to be arraigned next month.
The criminal complaint alleges that Holbert sexually assaulted the woman on March 12.
Holbert — who works out of a North Hollywood gym — was arrested Aug. 23 and released later that day on $100,000 bond, according to jail records.
Holbert is due back in a San Fernando courtroom Oct. 19 for arraignment. If convicted as charged, he faces up to three years in prison.
