It sounded like something out of Agatha Christie, but a fully clothed man’s body found floating in a pond in a peaceful park may not have anything to do with murder.
The body was found floating in a pond at Fairmount Park in Riverside, and police Sunday said they do not suspect foul play.
The body was discovered by a visitor at 10:17 a.m. Saturday in a runoff pond near the north shore of Lake Evans. The man was face-down and fully clothed, said Officer Ryan Railsback with the Riverside city police.

Firefighters entered the water, retrieved the body and pronounced the person dead. Officials partially identified the body as a white male of unknown age.
Police said there were “no obvious signs of foul play present.”
The park is at 2601 Fairmount Boulevard.
