The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to renew a $20,000 reward for information leading to whoever stabbed a Diamond Bar couple to death in their home last October.
Supervisor Janice Hahn recommended the reward in hopes of solving the murders of 60-year-old David Cheng Wang and his 57-year-old wife, Marian Mei Chung. The reward, set to expire May 14, will now be available for at least another 90 days.
A friend, called by the victims’ family to check on the couple on Oct. 20, discovered Wang’s body at the home in the 3300 block of Bent Twig Lane and called 911. Authorities sent to the scene then found the body of Wang’s wife.
Investigators have no “viable clues,” according to Hahn’s motion, and hope a reward will prompt witnesses to come forward.
The couple ran an art school from their residence, which showed no sign of forced entry and was not ransacked, according to investigators.
