Sheriff’s detectives Wednesday circulated photos of two men considered “persons of interest” in a violent road rage beating on Angeles Crest Highway in La Crescenta that sent the victim to a hospital.
The assault occurred about 6 p.m. Monday, according to sheriff’s Detective Edmundo Perez.
“This was a road rage incident,” Perez said. “It’s unclear at this point whether the two men were witnesses or were involved in the assault.”
Perez said the male victim, whose name was withheld, exchanged words with his attackers and then was “jumped and beaten.” He was taken to a hospital, treated for injuries of unspecified severity and released, according to Perez.
The two persons of interest were described as a “white or Armenian male with a muscular build” and a “skinny black male,” Perez said.
“I don’t have any other details on them at this point,” he said.
Anyone with information on their identities was asked to call Perez at (818) 248-3464. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be made anonymously.
