Two alleged killers were in custody Wednesday in connection with the bloody stabbing death of a man during an argument over a parking space in Monterey Park.
The stabbing occurred about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of College View Drive, according to the sheriff’s department. Michael Villar, 26, of Monterey Park died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Victor Garcia, 55, and Moises Garcia, 57, were taken into custody in connection with the stabbing and are both being held in lieu of $2 million bail. It was unclear if the suspects were related.
Lt. Rodney Moore of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune the three men argued over a parking space, but there “might be other mitigating factors.”
