A sheriff’s department helicopter and rescued a hiker injured Saturday in a mountain fall at Switzer Falls north of Pasadena, authorities said.
It was reported at 12:16 p.m. near the intersection of Angeles Forest and Angeles Crest (2) highways, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores.
Video posted on Twitter showed a paramedic being lowered from the helicopter to the terrain below to stabilize the injured hiker.
The hiker was airlifted to a trauma center, Flores said.
