An apparent natural gas leak in the Encino area Thursday prompted the precautionary evacuation of a four-story building.
The problem was reported about 11 a.m. in the 16500 block of West Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the leak was not immediately known.
