Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was killed in a deputy-involved shooting over the weekend in South El Monte.
The shooting occurred about 9 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Durfee Avenue, said Deputy Kimbery Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Manuel Borrego, 40, of Monterey Park died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported. No deputies were injured.
