Police asked for public help to find an 80-year-old man suffering from dementia who went missing Saturday in La Verne.

Humberto Peralta was last seen about 3:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Wenwood Drive when he walked away from the care facility at that location.

Peralta is Hispanic. He stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds, La Verne police said. He also has brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt with red stars and blue stripes. He also was wearing dark pants and blue slippers.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Peralta was asked to call La Verne police at 909-596-1913 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
