A high-speed pursuit continued Saturday evening after East Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies were struck by a car driven by suspects fleeing a traffic stop.
The attempted traffic stop occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the East Los Angeles area, said Sgt. A. Gonzalez of the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station.
Details were sketchy as the pursuit continued, and an investigation was underway at the site of the assault, he said. The exact location and extent of any injuries was not immediately available.
The California Highway Patrol continued the pursuit which included an attempted PIT maneuver that damaged the rear of the dark-colored sedan on a surface street. At last report, the suspects were on the 215 Freeway in Fontana.
