Costa Mesa police were searching Saturday for a pair of suspects who allegedly robbed two people of their wallets and watches at gunpoint in the parking lot of the South Coast Plaza retail destination on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 3300 block of Bristol Street about 2 p.m. on a pair of robbery calls, which occurred roughly 10 minutes apart, Costa Mesa police spokeswoman Roxi Fyad told the Orange County Register.
In each instance, two suspects brandished at least one firearm, Fyad told the newspaper. They fled in a vehicle prior to officers’ arrival.
Neither of the victims was injured and an estimated cost of the items stolen was not immediately known, Fyad said.
No descriptions of the suspects were immediately available.
