The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday sought the public’s assistance to locate a 50-year-old man diagnosed with bipolar disorder who was last seen near his home in Hawaiian Gardens.
Armando Chavez was last seen at about 8 a.m. Monday in the 21700 block of Elaine Avenue, between Norwalk and Pioneer boulevards, near Carson Street.
Chavez is Hispanic, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 280 pounds with brown eyes, a bald head and a mustache. He also wears glasses and has the names “Armando,” “Jacob,” “Joseph,” “Samuel,” `Isaac” and “Abraham” tattooed on his left forearm.
Chavez has also been diagnosed with cancer, diabetes and depression.
