A shooting involving California Highway Patrol officers, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies from the Force Investigations Detail and a barricaded suspect early Wednesday morning in the Indio area was under investigation.
The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. in the 81000 block of Sierra Avenue and involved the California Highway Patrol, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies from the Force Investigations Detail assisted CHP officers in taking a suspect into custody who was barricaded, the sheriff’s department reported. The name of the suspect was not immediately available.
