Palm Springs police responded Tuesday to a report of shots being fired, but there was no indication anyone was injured.
The shots were reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the area of north Indian Canyon Drive and 20th Avenue.
According to Lt. William Hutchinson, a caller reported hearing a shot being fired, but it was unclear if the shot was fired at the person who contacted police or fired into the air.
Police cleared the scene a short time later.
No further information was immediately available.
